SINOPSIS
“Los Ángeles de Charlie” fue uno de los mayores éxitos televisivos de los años 70 y parte de los 80 y contaba con los mejores ingredientes, las chicas bellas y elegantes, los peinados espectaculares, había persecuciones y acción y, aunque la trama era previsible, representaba el entretenimiento de los fines de semana. El trío original de jóvenes detectives estaba compuesto por Jaclyn Smith, Farrah Fawcett-Majors y Kate Jackson y la producción estuvo a cargo de Aaron Spelling.
El argumento de la serie se basó en el rescate de las tres jóvenes policías de su trabajo aburrido, y su posterior contrato por un misterioso millonario para laborar en su agencia de detectives, resolviendo casos en medio de ágiles persecuciones.
Charles Townsend, era el nombre del jefe, a quien llamaban “Charlie”, pero que nadie podía ver, ni siquiera las tres detectives. Sus órdenes eran escuchadas a través del altavoz del teléfono y mediante un enlace con John Bosley, director de la agencia y una especie de ángel de la guarda de los ángeles.
La serie mantuvo su éxito durante las tres primeras temporadas. Con el fin de la tercera temporada y la marcha de Kate Jackson, empezó el progresivo declive de la misma. Los nuevos reemplazos Cheryl Ladd, Shelley Hack y Tanya Roberts, no consiguieron mantenerla por mucho tiempo, pero aún así se puede decir que marcaron una época en las series de televisión y le dieron la vuelta al mundo con sus caracterizaciones.
